5 extremely quick and easy personalised school supply ideas.
In school (or at least my school), it is quite common to see several people with the exact same type and brand of school supplies. This indirectly means that there would be quite a lot of confusion when someone incorrectly grabs the wrong thing, thinking that it was theirs. These quick and simple ideas will help your school supplies to stand out just that little bit and help you identify them easily at first glance.
1. Washi-tape your notebooks.
To distinguish your notebooks at first glance, add some washi or decorative tape to the corners of your notebooks. If you have more than 1 notebook per subject, you can also add different patterned tape to different notebooks to categorize the notebooks by subject.
2. A simple keychain.
Dangling key chains is very commonly done and an extremely easy way to personalise your school bag, especially if your school gives out the same school-themed school bags to everyone . You can use a simple store-bought one or DIY and create one.
3. Tie a ribbon on zippers.
This idea is definitely the easiest one on this list. Ribbons are readily available at any craft store and looks cute tied onto anything. Besides adding a little personality, the ribbon would also help make a broken zipper functionable.
4. Use a hand drawn picture as a cover for folders.
Hand drawn pictures are great when trying to personalise anything as there will be one and only one of that picture. Use these pictures as covers of binders and your binders will never be mistaken as someone else's again!
5. Washi-tape your stationary
Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, pens and other types of stationary are some of the school supplies that are commonly "borrowed" (stolen) and just seem to disappear into thin air. With this idea, you will know exactly who "borrowed" your stationary and will be able to identify what is rightly yours.
