Simple Braided Updo
This is a quick and versatile hairdo that can be worn to multiple occasions. It is casual enough to be worn to places like school but can also be formal enough to be worn to an important occasion. Don't be fooled, this hairstyle really is a piece of cake.
Difficulty: Easy
Tools:
- 1brush
- 1 small hair elastic / hair tie1
- 5-10 bobby pins
Method:
1. Gather all the hair at the base of the neck. This will be the starting point of the braid.
2. Separate the hair into 3 sections.
3. Cross the right section over the middle, then, cross the left section over the middle. (try to keep the braid loose)
4. Repeat step 3 until all the hair is used up.
5. Secure the braid with a small elastic. Pull at the braid to loosen it.
6. Create a small "hole" or "pocket" at the left side of the braid.
7. Stick 2 fingers through that pocket so that your fingers are pointing downwards or towards the neck.
8. Pull the braid through that hole. (the braid should almost flip and hide the start of the braid).
9. Lay the braid across the base of the head.
10. Create a small "hole" or "pocket" at the right side of the braid.
11. Stick 2 fingers through that pocket so that your fingers are pointing upwards.
12. Pull the braid through that hole.
13. Tuck the ends of the braid under the hair at the nape of the neck.
14. Secure the hairstyle with bobby pins.
