Fishtail Braid
This is one of the more time consuming braids as it is very intricate. Fishtailing can be hard at first and take time to get used to, however, it is definitely a useful skill to learn. Difficulty: Medium
Tools:
- 1 comb/brush
- 2 hair elastics/ hair ties
Method:
1. Gather the hair in a ponytail and secure it with an elastic.
2. Separate the hair into 2 equal sections.
3. Take a small piece of hair from the left side of the left section.
4. Cross that piece over to the right side, merging it with the right section.
5. Take a small piece of hair from the right side of the right section.
6. Cross that piece over to the left side, merging it with the left section.
7. Keep repeating steps 3-6 until you run out of hair.
8. Secure the braid with another elastic.
9. [Optional] Pull and fluff the braid to add volume.
