The Double Braids are definitely a classic hairstyle, appearing in countless movies as well as countless classrooms over the years. It's simple enough to be done by almost everyone, but can also be dressed up or down to suit any occasion.
The Double Braids is the embodiment of versatile and can be worn by girls of all ages. From preschoolers to adults, this hairstyle is suitable for everyone and definitely could be a go-to-hairstyle for any household.

Difficulty: Easy
Tools:
- 1 Rat-tailed comb (preferably)*
- 2 Hair elastics/Hair tie
- Bobby Pins**
* This type of comb would help produce a straight parting
** Can be used as desired.
Method:
1. Part the hair into two equal parts using the pointy end of the rat-tailed comb.
The following steps can be done in two ways...

The french way (innie braid)
2. Pick up the hair on one side of the parting and split it into 3 equal sections.
3. Cross the leftmost section across the middle section.
4. Cross the rightmost section across the new middle section.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you run out of hair.
6. Tie the ends of with an elastic.
7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 with the hair on the other side of the parting.
The dutch way (outtie braid)
2. Pick up the hair on one side of the parting and split it into 3 equal sections.
3. Cross the leftmost section under the middle section.
4. Cross the rightmost section under the new middle section.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you run out of hair.
6. Tie the ends of with an elastic.
7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 with the hair on the other side of the parting.
